You will find some essential game tips below to help you progress quickly and effectively during your Call of Dragons journey !

Leveling

During your season, you will need to level your heroes to unlock their talents and make a difference in the battlefield.

As long as you can kill darklings easily, try to use only one march to lose as less cp as possible, each consecutive darklings you kill with the same march without going back to your castle will cost 1 CP less down to 40 CP per fights.

You also want to do this to focus on making one of your marches really strong.

Try to always kill the highest darklings level, if you can't use multiple marches, the experience is not divided so each of your marches will get 100% of it.

Later in the game, when you have 4-5 marches and 1500+ cp, you should have at least 1 maxed hero. Try to use all your marches to farm darklings.

What you want is being able to empty your CP without having to go back to base.

Free to Play players might not be able to achieve that but try to maximize the amount of experience per CP you can get.

You can get experience books from darklings towers and dragon trail rewards.

The use of those books can vary depending on your objectives.

Some people will just use them to max their main marches heroes.

Others will stack them to use it on wheel heroes or push on strongest lord, it makes +1000 power per level of your hero.

Marches

All marches have different purpose in the game, most people will have a strong mage march at the beginning because of how easy it is to get awakened Liliya.

Infantry marches

Used to tank behemoth and in battlefield. You generally want it to be as tanky as possible.

Mage marches

Used to dps Behemoths in the early stages of season 1, great pvp march with the highest range of attack and area of damage. If you can get Liliya awakened you must make it your priority for the early pvp fights.

Marksman marches

Used to dps Behemoths after the early stages of the game. Highest damage march, however, the range is smaller than mages march.

Cavalry marches

Used to flank in battlefields and destroy the enemy backline, can be used in some Behemoth fights and also the best march to kill farmers.

Flying marches

It has different uses based on your faction, but this march is generally very fast and excels in hit and run. You can also pair celestials (human flying unit) with your mage heroes for more dps.

How does a march works ?

Your march is composed of two heroes and a number of units. The two heroes are called the “main hero” and the “deputy”.

Only the talents of the main hero are applied to your march, the talents of the deputy doesn't matter you can even randomly fill them.

The skills of both heroes will be applied to your march, that's why awakening a deputy is as important as awakening a main hero.

The legion capacity of your main hero is 100% while only 50% of the legion capacity of your deputy is added to the march.

Which march to focus ?

There is not right or wrong answer to this, it also depends on your playstyle.

For most players, the mage march will be the way to go since Liliya is the easiest legendary hero to awaken.

Then, if you prefer to tank for behemoths make a good infantry, if you want to dps make marksmen, if you like to be a cancer for other players go for cavalry.
